The ideal climate, turquoise blue waters, numerous harbours, attractive towns, secluded bays and beaches along with many historical sites make the blue voyage route from Bodrum to Antalya a boating paradise. Southeast from Bodrum which is one of the most popular holiday resorts in the mediterranean is the Gulf of Gökova popular for its numerous bays, seaside villages and historical places such as the beach of Cleopatra and the remains of the once great city of Knidos. Beneath the Datça Peninsula is the Gulf of Hisarönü a delightful place with hundreds of beatiful tiny bays and islands waiting to be explored. Beyond Hisarönü is the popular resort of Marmaris, a bustling town with a large and modern marina, numerous shops, restaurants and bars. From Marmaris to Antalya lies Iztuzu beach famous for being the last nesting ground of the Mediterranean Loggerhead turtles. Ekincik is the best place to leave your yacht for a visit to ancient Caunos.
The Gulf of Göcek is an exclusive yachting centre and one of the Mediterranean's best sailing sports with many small coves and islands. The Gulf of Fethiye features the bustling port of Fethiye and famous lagoon and the white sand beach of Ölüdeniz (The Dead Sea). Further to the east is the charming little town of Kalkan with old Turkish houses and narrow streets and the small town of Kaş with it's Lycian tombs, amphitheatre and numereous restaurants, bars and shops. Further east is magnicifant Kekova with its sunken city and the picturesque fishing village of Kaleköy with a beautiful ancients fortrees.
